Scam Warning - Freecash

Freecash officially joins the Carnival Barkers List!

Please disregard the prior review here of Freecash. Things have changed rapidly with them, they're no longer the company they were even just last year.

Freecash is being given "scam warning" status due to rampant complaints of non-payment by users, myself being one of them. I was denied payment (without explanation) for a little over $200 USD in legitimately completed goals, presumably simply because they don't feel like paying up. I might chalk it up to a possible misunderstanding if online forums were not currently rife with similar stories. Support tickets can (and will) be rejected after several weeks of review with absolutely no explanation and no means of further recourse.

Adding to this decision is my receiving some sort of email out of nowhere screaming "VPN WARNING" at me in the header, and of course accusing me of using a VPN in the body. I have a Chromebook that I purchased specifically to do GPT sites and similar stuff, and have never installed a VPN on it at any point let alone used one as I am aware that is one of their little rules and regulations, so this accusation is ludicrous. Of course, when I questioned why I received it, no response at all.

Finally, they are very clearly censoring their "official" Reddit. They remove all manner of threads and comments that report factual issues or engage in criticism; the only reason some still seem to exist is that's the overwhelming bulk of the content there these days! Their new PR campaign on the Reddit is also completely meaningless, the mod team there won't do anything with the #1 problem of errant ticket rejections and sudden loss of tracking in games, so it's of no real help.

What's funny is that I've noticed they started running TV ads here in the US last month, so they don't seem to be running out of money. My best guess is they've committed to a course of "churning and burning" through new customers given the bad economy and increasing amounts of people looking for online work / side gigs, just endlessly ripping folks off and moving on to the next like a bunch of literal carnies (probably until the owners offload the property onto some other sap). Whatever the case, the platform cannot be trusted not to waste your time by backing out on their offers like a bunch of deadbeats, and ABSOLUTELY should not be trusted with any investment in reaching goals. There are many other up-and-coming GPT site alternatives that are doing much better and dealing much straighter, this site is showing a lot of signs of crashing out.
